Event Overview:
The Silent Clowns Film Series is New York’s longest-running regular screening series dedicated to rare and often overlooked silent films, accompanied by live piano performances.
This event features The Strong Man (1926), starring Harry Langdon.

Details: Harry Langdon made his film debut in 1924 and enjoyed a stellar career through 1928. The Strong Man, his second production under his own company, is one of his most acclaimed works. It also marks the first feature-length film directed by Frank Capra and showcases Langdon’s signature comedic brilliance.
The screening will also include a two-reel short film by Mack Sennett.

The live piano accompaniment will be provided by Makia Matsumura.
