Event Overview:
The Silent Clowns Film Series is New York's longest-running regular screening series dedicated to rare and often overlooked silent films, accompanied by live piano performances. This event features The Strong Man (1926), starring Harry Langdon.
Films to be screened:
Harry Langdon made his film debut in 1924 and enjoyed a stellar career through 1928. The Strong Man, his second production under his own company, is one of his most acclaimed works. It also marks the first feature-length film directed by Frank Capra and showcases Langdon's signature comedic brilliance. The screening will also include a two-reel short film by Mack Sennett. The live piano accompaniment will be provided by Makia Matsumura.

Admission is free and open to all, but advance registration is required.
Registered attendees will receive priority check-in 15–30 minutes before the screening.
Five minutes before the program starts, any remaining seats will be released to those in the standby line.
